About: Our first release of the Mahoney Ranch Vermentino, this vineyard is located at our offices in Napa. We have historically blended the wines from this location with our Estate Vermentino, but found the wine from Mahoney Ranch to be exciting and new, and felt it deserved it’s own bottling.
Tasting Notes: Upon your first entry to the wine, it gives aromas of yellow plum, nectarine, and lemon custard. On the palate, notes of grapefruit, lemon blossom, and white peach. A clean, refreshing, and wine with a nice mouthfeel and great length.
Winemaking: Picked at our Mahoney Ranch, located in Napa Valley and Carneros, this warmer climate Vermentino has more body than that of Las Brisas. Spending time in both the barrel and in stainless steel tanks, it was aged for 8 months and has a nice structure and a richer feel due to the oak.
