This Pinot Noir comes primarily from Las Brisas Vineyard and is a blend of many clones, including 50% Swan. Las Brisas benefits from the cool marine layer, allowing the fruit on the vines to mature at a leisurely pace.
It spent 16 months in 50% new French oak and exhibits balance and restraint, with notes of licorice, cinnamon, dried bay leaf, cherry, blackberry, and a hint of juniper. It is light and agile in the mouth, with a bright fruit flavors and a satisfying yet savory finish. It is a great expression of Carneros fruit.
