About: The 2023 vintage marks 20 years of making Petite Sirah at Fleur de California. We aim for a smother, more fruit-driven style of this varietal, and achieved through cool-temperature fermentation, shorter time on the skins, and longer barrel aging.
Tasting Notes: Blackberry jam and huckleberry notes with hints of chocolate and leather. Wood notes and green pepper tree with a nice balance of tannins.
Winemaking: This wine was aged in 40% new French oak for a total of 27 months. This extended aging in French oak barrels adds complexity to this vintage. It was harvested from our Scarlett Vineyard in Suisun during the cooler 2023 harvest, giving it more structure and density. A classic Petite Sirah.
Your order ships in recyclable packaging, unless otherwise noted.
