This Chardonnay comes from a part of Mahoney Ranch we call Gavin Vineyard, on the eastern slopes of the Carneros region. Barrel fermentation and sur-lie aging create a fusion of pear and pineapple fruit, and subtle oak flavors in the wine. We use lighter toast levels on our new barrels to preserve fruit aromatics and enhance wine structure and length.
