To create this wine, we select Chardonnays from our estate vineyards and ferment in barrel. Delicate flavors are preserved through whole cluster pressing, and prolonged yeast contact adds both texture and subtle toast aromas. In order to preserve acidity for meal pairing, we did not put this wine through malolactic.
Caramel apple aromas are accented with oak characteristics that make you want to curl up and share this fireside. Brown sugar, pineapple and wood spice give way to a structured balance on the palate.

"Attractive oak notes of toasted bread, butter and fresh ginger lead to vivid crisp apple and Anjou-pear flavors in this well-balanced, complex barrel-fermented wine. It is tangy yet ripe and generously spiced."
– Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast
